“We have beautiful fresh Frasers Firs coming in this weekend, but due to an overwhelming, blessed response from our customers, our current inventory of Choose & Cut trees is very limited. This includes Leyland Cypress, Murray Cypress and Carolina Sapphire trees. The Frasers will be cut this week and delivered on Saturday. We welcome you to come out and enjoy the day with hot chocolate, s’mores and boiled peanuts and take some great family pictures. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. As we are sure you can appreciate, it is very difficult to predict just how many trees you may sell 5 years in advance. Thank you and God Bless!”
Types of Christmas Trees Offered by Lovell Tree Farm
For the 2013 Christmas season, we have the following trees to choose from:
- Leyland Cypress – The Leyland Cypress is Georgia’s official Christmas tree as well as its most popular. These trees have been grown right here on our farm and are offered on a choose and cut basis.
- Murray Cypress – The Murray Cypress is a relatively need breed of tree and is rapidly emerging in popularity due to it being a locally grown tree, but it has slightly thicker limbs that will support today’s larger ornaments. These trees are being offered on a choose and cut basis.
- Frazier Fir – Fraser Firs must be grown at an elevation that is not available in Georgia. The closest point these trees are grown is in North Carolina. We hand select the finest quality trees from our partner farm in North Carolina. They are harvested and shipped to Lovell Tree Farm on the same day. Immediately upon arrival at our farm, we put a fresh cut on the base of the tree and them immediately place them in water. Most farms don’t take this level of care. We, however, believe it maximizes the freshness of the tree and extends the use for you and your family.
In addition to Christmas Trees, we also offer tree stands, hot chocolate, boiled peanuts and other Christmas goodies which help to supplement the warm, family-friendly environment our customers have grown to expect.
Remember to bring your camera or smartphone so you can capture the many memories that will become your family’s annual tradition. You can capture the moment your tree is being cut down or get a family photo riding on Santa’s sleigh.
If you are in the market for a Christmas tree this year (and let’s face it, isn’t everyone?) don’t go to a big box store and buy an “average” tree. Bring your family to Lovell Tree Farm and start a tradition unlike any other. Visit us today!
