Frequently Asked Questions
What types of trees do you offer?
We offer Leyland Cypress (the official Georgia Christmas tree), Murray Cypress and Carolina Sapphire where you choose & cut your own tree right out of the field. We also import Fraser Firs from North Carolina and offer them on a pre-cut basis.
How much are your trees?
The choose & cut trees in the field are priced at $6 per foot, so the price is determined by the size of the tree that you choose. As an example, a 6’ – 7’ choose & cut tree would be $36. The pre-cut Fraser Firs are priced starting at $46 and go up based upon size from there.
Do we need to bring our own saw(s)?
No. You are more than welcome to bring your own personal saw, but we also provide saws on-site for our customers to use.
Do we need to bring something to tie down the tree?
You are welcome to bring your own twine or straps. Ratchet straps work best. However, we have twine available to secure the tree to your vehicle. We will provide assistance as needed, but it is the sole responsibility of the car/truck owner to secure the tree to their vehicle.
Can we bring our pet(s)?
Yes. You are welcome to bring your dog, but please have it on a lease. And, we respectfully ask that you clean up after them. Although we are in the country, we have to be aware of folks walking around and kneeling on the ground.
What are your hours of operation?
We open at 1:00PM on Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving weekend we are open Thursday through Sunday until 5:00PM (or until dark). Thereafter we are open on the weekends from 9:00AM until 5:00PM (or until dark). We can open during the weekdays on an appointment basis. If you need to schedule a time to come during the week, give us a call on (770) 599-6706.
What other products do you offer?
We sell tree stands, watering sticks, tree preservative, drinks (Hot Chocolate, Apple Cider, Bottled Water), boiled peanuts, s’mores kits, marshmallows, reindeer poop, Grinch poop, snowman poop and reindeer food.
We also offer a lot of places to get some great family pictures, so make sure you bring your camera. You can get photos in front a Santa’s sleigh, of the kids roasting marshmallows over the campfire, next to the reindeer and many, many more.
Overall, you will have a memorable family experience by making it your annual tradition to come to Lovell Tree Farm to choose & cut your very own Christmas tree!
